Innovative, experimental, diverse, and hip – Transformer is at the nexus of DC’s cultural scene. As Transformer’s primary fundraising event, the Annual Transformer Silent Auction & Benefit Party provides essential support for this dynamic visual art organization’s year-round programming – and it’s a great party! Select members of this year’s Host Committee include: Sylvia Ripley & Christopher Addison, Addison/Ripley Fine Art; Brian Baker, Bad Religion; Annie Lou Bayly Berman; David Brock, Media Matters for America; Kerry Brougher, Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden; Shigeko Bork, mu project; Christina DePaul, National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts; Annie Gawlak, G Fine Art; Lori Graham, Lori Graham Design; Nora Halpern, Americans for the Arts; Martin Irvine, Irvine Contemporary; Heather & Tony Podesta; and Septime Webre, The Washington Ballet, among several other DC area illuminati.

Proceeds from The 5th Annual Transformer Silent Auction & Benefit Party will match recent grant awards, directly supporting artists through artist honoraria, exhibition material coasts, and related programming support. In addition to supporting exhibitions, proceeds will support artists through the funding of Transformer programs such as The Exercises – a peer-mentorship program for emerging artists, as well as The Framework Panel Series, and our ongoing professional development work to help artists help themselves.
