Instantaneous Process Employed

By Stephen Berkman (From Memory- series)

With the “new Instantaneous Process employed” Zohar Studios has captured my imagination. Artist and Photographer Stephen Berkman is making great use of the wet-plate process and objects of 1800’s era photography for his installation art. Did you ever wonder who made the tintypes for the 2003 film Cold Mountain? Well… just found him.

Jack White by Stephen Berkman (2003 film Cold Mountain)

I had not heard of Berkman before, and happened to wander upon his site while trolling the net. You have got to love happy surprises! This is an artist that I plan to watch more closely I can assure you.
