Suspended In Time

I have been waiting for about a week to write about a fellow wet-plate artist (among other things), and John Coffer student that I have been very excited to discover.  His name is Matthew Larkin and his first book is Suspended In Time.

This guy is doing the type of work that I love, and envision for my own wet-plate work.  I ordered a copy of the book (notice that only 2000 will be made) last week, and I have been breathless since, waiting for its arrival.  I am hoping that today is the day!

Pinhole photographer and blogger Nicolai Morrisson has made two post about Larkin’s Suspended work.  You can see the first post from last year here, and see a full review of the book posted in April 2007 here.

Mr. Larkin is someone to keep an eye one folks!  Yet another indication that wet-plate is on the move.
